Jennifer Tryon is Global National's correspondent specializing in health.
Getting the chance to dive into a subject, investigate and expose issues closest to the hearts of Canadians is why Jennifer turned to the health beat.
For the past seven years Jennifer has worked in newsrooms in Kingston, Ottawa, Kitchener and Montreal breaking major stories across the country.
She worked her way up as a news intern during her early years in journalism and shot, edited, and even ran her own teleprompter on the anchor desk. She started out at the Kingston Whig-Standard, before moving on to television at CKWS-TV in Kingston. She has also worked at CTV News in Ottawa and Montreal over the years, including a stint at CTV National's specialty unit before joining Global National's news team.
Now, investigative stories and original journalism are her specialties. Exclusivity is the key and focus of Jennifer's stories, a mandate in which she lives by.
Jennifer has received many investigative journalism honours from the Canadian Association of Journalists, as well as an award from Amnesty International for Excellence in Human Rights Reporting.
Her interests include snowboarding, mountain biking, cooking and carpentry.
She was born in Kingston, Ontario and now lives in Toronto with her husband and their three children.
