TORONTO - After months of hard work, two Toronto teenagers were able to send a piece of LEGO in space and retrieve it - with video to capture every moment.
Inspired by a team of MIT researchers, Matthew Ho and Asad Muhammad, both 17, took the initiative to attempt try and capture photos from space - and added something distinctly Canadian.
Outfitting a LEGO man with a Canadian flag, the Agincourt Collegiate Institute Grade 12 students sent their contraption into space with a video camera attached to record the entire trip.
Video footage and photographs capture the trip the LEGO man takes from the ground near Toronto, to the edge of earth’s atmosphere and back.
