Police suspect 'foul play' in case of missing Orangeville woman

ORANGEVILLE, Ont. - Two days after 42-year-old Sonia Varaschin's blood-filled Toyota Corolla was discovered in Orangeville, the OPP have confirmed that violence was involved in her disappearance.

Orangeville Police began to search for Varaschin after she failed to show up to work Monday morning. Her white Toyota was found 10 a.m. that day in Orangeville.

Blood was found on the bumper, inside the trunk, and car. Police also found blood in Varaschin's residence.

Police were appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating Varaschin, described as five feet, one inch and weighing about 56 kilos, with brown hair with light-coloured streaks.

Orangeville is about 80 kilometres west of Toronto.
