Paul Johnson is a Washington, DC-based correspondent for Global National, covering news from Capitol Hill, as well as stories across the U.S. and around the world. He is also a correspondent for 16:9, Global's weekly newsmagazine.

Paul's journalism career began more than 20 years ago as a writer for "The Peak" newspaper at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. He has reported from wars in Bosnia and Afghanistan, hurricanes on the Gulf Coast, politics in Hong Kong, and school shootings in the U.S. He has even had the opportunity to interview icons from James Brown to George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
