Lauren McNabb is one of Global National’s correspondents based in Toronto.

Born and raised in Minnedosa, Manitoba, Lauren is proud to call herself a "prairie girl." This Carleton University graduate left Global Winnipeg in 2003 to become Global National's Manitoba correspondent. She later moved to the Toronto bureau in 2005.

She recently returned to Toronto following a two-year stint as Global National's Middle East correspondent in Jerusalem. Lauren has reported on-location from several international cities in recent years, including Kandahar, Afghanistan. In 2008, she and her camera operator risked their lives to become the only North American journalists to travel into the restricted Myanmar/Burma region to report first hand on the devastation caused by Cyclone Nargis. Their coverage would later win a Charlie Edwards Spot News Award from the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) of Canada. Lauren has also reported on the aftermath of several disasters in 2005: New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, Pakistan after the devastating earthquake and Sri Lanka after the disastrous tsunami.

Prior to joining Global, she spent six months in Zimbabwe, Africa, writing for a local magazine, before moving back to Manitoba in 2000.
